I bought this for my 2 year old as a Christmas present and what a good choice it was. The construction was very easy to follow with no bits left over very sturdy and good quality but the end result was when my son seen it he played for 3 hours before opening any other toy! Having extra track has made a big difference to how much my 2 year old is using his train set. His friends are enjoying it too and it means several children can play together without falling over each other so much. Would like more curved pieces, but generally very happy with this and would recommend it.

We bought this train set for our son, who has not turned 2 yet. He loves it and plays with it almost every day.
He's not so keen on the little houses and trees that come with it, but has lots of fun building the track and playing with the train.

It's a great starter set and we're very happy with our purchase.

very good toy although you need to buy extra tracks for to make it long and more interesting.very good to give someone as a present.this does not break like other plastic ones.

Excellet toy for toddlers, 2010-05-03
I bought this for my 18 month old grandson, who loves farm animals. Whilst it says it is for the over 3's, under supervision, it is perfectly safe for younger ones (as are most toys of this type). They are the right size for his little hands, easy to stand up, and durable. My only concern is the felt features, but time will tell how durable they are. I find them much better than plastic ones, or ones with more dtail, which the very young do not need.
